THE STORY

A first look inside, after 80,000 miles

What came in: A 1987 Porsche 930 Turbo with 80,166 original miles. Its engine had never been apart.
What we did: A complete overhaul. The engine came out and was fully torn down, inspected and measured, then rebuilt with fresh components and reassembled by hand in our Riviera Beach shop.

Teardown

The engine is split and the crankcase and crank are inspected for the first time in 80,000 miles.

Cylinders and pistons

Cylinders and pistons are measured and inspected before the rebuild.

Reassembly

Cylinders and heads go back on as the engine comes back together.

Final assembly

Ancillaries and fittings go back on, ready for the engine to return to the car.
